Light for Seniors is a non-profit organization run through the efforts of diverse volunteers who have a shared wish to provide for those vulnerable in our communities.
All volunteers strive to connect with seniors held within senior homes by sharing our photography skills as a service. We aim to give the elderly who do not have a picture frame one that forever captures their smiles -funded by your donations.
Many elderly have faced unbearable isolation only exacerbated by the pandemic. The exact circumstances vary across households, but these individuals are left barren of social bonds. This loneliness is not only a risk factor for health itself, but this lack of someone to talk to only aggravates their solitude.
Light for Seniors shares frames with senior homes not just because we want to settle with giving seniors that photo to ensure their smiles are never forgotten. We are here to be a light that does more to spark smiles in our elderly —that grows into unforgettable fuzzy memories because this is our community, and it matters.
